Easy Sandwich Recipes For College Students

Sharing is caring!

As a college student, I buy versatile ingredients that can be used in various recipes rather than one-time-use ingredients for a specific dish—unless it’s a meal I make often, in which case the ingredient would be worth the purchase.

I call these versatile ingredients my kitchen staples, and one of them is bread. Bread is filling, inexpensive and, of course, versatile. You can make many sandwich recipes with bread; sometimes, a new recipe is slightly changed from a previous one.

There is a website made explicitly for sandwich recipes, which I go to for inspiration or to find cheap and easy-to-make ones, and I also search for some recipes on Pinterest. However, I make some changes to the recipes if I need to.

After several browsing and self-inspiration, I found my top 4 sandwich recipes I love, and I keep remaking them. They are inexpensive, filling, and so easy to put together.

RECIPE 1: Peanut butter banana sandwich

I learnt this recipe from my aunt; it has been one of my favourite sandwich recipes. It is a quick and delicious sandwich combining creamy peanut butter, bananas, and a drizzle of maple syrup or honey. It is perfect for a quick snack, light breakfast, or lunch!

Recipe 2: tuna cucumber sandwich

tuna cucumber

There are many recipes you could make with tuna, and one of them is this sandwich! This Tuna Cucumber Sandwich is a refreshing, healthy, and quick meal. I also love the crisp or crunch that the cucumber adds to it!

Recipe 3: Cucumber avocado sandwich

Even though I try to save money on groceries, I try to incorporate fruits and vegetables into my diet. One of the cheapest and most versatile fruits is cucumbers. You can incorporate it into lots of recipes. Avocado is also very versatile. This recipe combines the goodness of both fruits for a fresh and creamy, light, healthy meal.

Recipe 4: egg sandwich

I love this recipe because it is so easy to make. This sandwich is made primarily with eggs, so be rest assured you are getting a good amount of protein plus deliciousness!

While these three are great recipes, it is not a long list. If you are looking for other pasta recipes like this, you should check out sites like Something About Sandwiches or  Budget Bytes. You can search for pasta recipes on Google or social media or ask AI.
